A Yoga Retreat for Beginners

Join us for our regularly scheduled yoga retreats that delve into the practice of yoga from a new-old perspective. Whether you've never stepped on a yoga mat or you are just craving a mindset shift around your practice, you'll leave this weekend of physical and mental exploration feeling empowered, excited and rejuvenated. Each day, you'll be guided with your group through a varied experience of meditation, physical practice, and mindfulness integration through activities as well as the simple things in life, designed for people just setting out on the yoga path.
The Classes: Throughout the retreat you'll learn the basics of the physical and mental practices of yoga. We work with each group individually to create the most effective experience. Between the physical and mental practices, you can expect your day to be filled with yoga from 8am to 6pm. This retreat is targeted to present you with challenges you can handle. Individual coaching sessions subject to reservation/availability during the day.
The Teachers: This retreat is lead by Anna Greenwald, owner of On the Goga, a Philadelphia-based mobile yoga and mindfulness practice. Her approach to yoga is simple: yoga is the practice of being completely focused on what you're doing in the moment; body and mind. "My passion is simply helping people understand that they're already doing yoga perfectly," Anna says. "We teach exercises that create change and growth, but our practice is really allowing people to see yoga as an extension of themselves. A way to create joy, confidence, and a deeper sense of peace."
The Food: A custom menu will provide you with healthy, detoxifying energy to fuel your day starts at the Breakfast Table with locally sourced produce, delicious breakfast fare and cold-pressed juices. Lunches are served in the solarium or on one of our two cascading roof gardens with views of the Hudson River Valley. Dinner is served daily from 6-8pm, a delicious bounty of locally sourced fare, imaginatively prepared.
The Spa: Enjoy full Water Spa access throughout your entire retreat, and add to your experience with cleansing, in-room spa treatments including massages, facials, body treatments, and aromatherapy turndown service.
What else you'll receive: Each yogi will be greeted in their room by their own personal Yoga Start-Up Bundle. Awaiting you on your bed will be a customized yoga carry-all, complete with yoga mat, block and strap, water bottle, journal, headband, and healthy snacks to fuel your weekend.
